The decision making bodies of the Department are its General Assembly, the Governing Council and the Chairman. The General Assembly consists of the regular (non-visiting) faculty and representatives of the undergraduate and postgraduate student associations. Day to day administration is conducted by the Chairman with the Assistance of the Governing Council, whose members are the Chairman of the Department, the Vice Chairman, the Division Directors, one representative of the postgraduate students and two representatives of the undergraduate students.
