Content:
Introduction in Network Programming, OSI model, introduction in TCP and UDP protocols of transfer layer, portsand utilities, addressing plann on IP networks (network classes, ip addresses, subnet masks, networks, subnetworks, end point users), network devices (routers, switches, hubs, bridges), device connectivity between heterogeny networks, routing protocols/algorithms topics, classification of network devices on OSI model layers, collocation of several topics (i.e., Routing vs. Bridging, etc), cabling (horizontal, vertical, etc), 10BaseT, 10Base2, TCP and UDP sockets with references and presentations on "Client-Server" model, data structure for network programming, functions, procedures and system calls on sockets (socket, connect, bind, listen, accept, fork, exec, write, read, etc), laboratorial project on a client-server subject using sockets.
